Oh... my god.

So I was watching Cartoon Network the other day and came across a show that claimed it was the Transformers, I think my brain stopped working for a moment...

Someone explain this travesty to me! There was a fat robot who used to be a skinny robot when he was young. WTF?!! They're ROBOTS! I couldn't stomach it, nothing could prepare me for this kind of mental RAPE.

Goketsuji... Grrr....!

Ok the PS2 version of Goketsuji Ichizoku is frustrating me a little. I hate the boss, HATE! The boss of the game is Bobby Obolung, a Nigerian guy who started in K1 and happens to be a Japanese TV personality who says stupid things and flubbs Japanese. He replaces princess Sissy as the final boss (Yes, there is someone in the game named SISSY!). This version of Goketsuji has these hidden videos you buy with points... that system SUCKS because it requires you to play the game a bajillion times to release anything,.. unless there's an easier way and I'm just retarded. Anyways! More vids from the game, thank god for Youtube.

Arent they cute?!!!..... *ahem*. SO, this next song is about buying PC parts in Akihabara XD. The girls parody Morning Musume.

Frustrations aside, this is still one of the most unique 2D fighters out there and can still be alot of fun despite the stupid boss.

The Price of (Near) Fame

So recently, I'd been talking to an old high-school buddy of mine and I found out that he does short films, I find a couple of them to be pretty funny,... in a twisted sort of way. In this clip, crazy Japanese girls... They're out there! Well, I suck at explanations, so just watch the video;

You can check out Kiyoshi's MySpace page here with links to his other videos as well.

Lets Go! Onmyouji

This is a clip from the PS2 import fighting game "Shin Gouketsuji Ichizoku" a series known in America as "Power Instinct".

The PS2 version of the game (As well as the Neo-Geo version)has vocals for alot of the songs. This song in particular is for the character "Chinnen" who's a monk. Well, the song itself has somewhat of a cult following in Japan. And as such, you'll see things like this:

There are others, but that one was just so silly. The man in the video is popualr synth-composer Susumu Hirasawa (Paprika, Paranoia Agent etc.) and has nothing to do with this song in actuality but is hilarious none the less. XD

I'm a pretty big fan of the series, my obsession with Gouketsuji began with the North American release of 'Power Instinct' for the Super NES, if you havent yet, I recommend playing them.

I LOVE NEO-GEO!

I know, so what, right? WRONG! XD

So yah! Last night I decided to open my copy of Samurai Spirits for the Neo-Geo CD and I thought to myself "Wow! This game has been in its packaging for years!!", So I proceeded to violently tear away cellophane and popped it in my top loader.

CELLOPHANE LOLZ!!! It's every bit as fun as I remembered, loading times weren't too bad either especially when you compare it to like SS4 for the NGCD. Speaking of Neo-Geo, here's a video of me gettin' my ass kicked at K.O.F. '98 UM;

I sucked harder than I could ever have sucked that day too! *CRY!!!* Oh wellz, maybe I'll do better at the location test for King of Fighters XII .... yea right. XD

Greetings:1, 2

First post! First Post?! Yeah, first post! MAJI ??!? ^^

  • Greetings:1, Hello. (こんです)

In Japanese, there are greetings depending on the time of day. For example, Ohayou Gozaimasu (Good Morning), Konnichi Wa (Good Afternoon) and Konban Wa (Good Evening). But, since we're talking with our friends, there are much more simplified terms you can use such as;

Ossu (Variation: Oissu) - Similiar to how we use "Yo!", but 'Yo' is also used in Japanese in the same manner.

Kondesu - Shortened version of 'Konnichi Wa'.

'Chiwa - Another shortened version of 'Konnichi Wa'. Used by guys, very informal, Only use if you have that type of relationship with your friend.
__________
  • Greetings: 2, Feeling Well? (元気?)

The normal Japanese equivalant of "How are you?" is 'Genki desu ka?', which literally translates to "Are you feeling well?". So after you've said your hellos, you can ask how he or she is feeling. Much like before, among friends, the terms are much shorter;

Genki? - Shortened from 'Genki desu ka?' and is something like "Doing ok?".

Genki Kai? - Similar to the above, this one is more common amongst males.
